Driver door light / dome light problem

Having an issue with my driver door light and dome light. I have a 2011 SR5. All other doors work fine. When drivers door is opened, door light does not go on and dome light also doesn't go on.

Swapped door switch from driver to passenger side and switch is good. Bulb is good.

Any clue what could be the problem?

door sensor is sticking... it tells you when it's opened or closed.. you should also not get the red light that shows a door open on the dash if it opens and the light doesn't come on..

Thanks. Yes, no indication on dash when drivers door opened. You mention possible bad door sensor. Is this the same as the door switch? Thanks.

Hoping to bring this thread back up. I'm having the exact same problem, after having done the exact same mod. I swapped the interior lights out for LED, and while I was replacing the driver door puddle mirror, it seemed like there was a short and now neither the door light nor the door position switch work correctly. Really the issue is that now if I have the headlights on, and I get out of the car, it doesn't know that I've gotten out and so the headlights stay on. I've check the fuses. Any thoughts?
