Driver seat Memory function not working - Help Needed

Hi,

New to the forum, so I hope this is being placed in the correct area..

I just bought a used 2006 Toyota 4Runner Ltd V8 and am loving it...

I have found that the Drivers memory seat function is not working.

Have tried the normal stuff so far with the engine running and vehicle in park.

I have pushed the "Set" button and held it and then pressed the number "1" and it would not beep. Then tried the same thing with "2". Neither worked.

What should I check as I am not sure how this is actually set up to work with the seat? Is there a fuse that may be blown?

Many thanks for any help that can be given..

I have found that the Drivers memory seat function is not working.

Is that the "butt recognition" feature ?

I'm just glad my truck starts when I get in it, much less recognizing my butt and adjusting to it.

:)

It's not likely a blown fuse, but a check of the fuse panel will tell you for sure.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "Butt Recognition" feature.

However, it is a pain pain in the butt when you have two people driving the vehicle and you get in the vehicle and the seat position has changed and you can't press a button so it goes back to the original position you left it in....

Seat Memory Switch retro fit

Does anyone know if you can just purchase the seat memory switch from a Gen 4 limited model and plug & play add it to a Gen 4 Sport Edition that has the power seats? Is there more hardware involed than just the switch?

I dont think so. Pretty sure theres a power seat ecu for memory seats. The wire harness might be different too.
