driver side seat creak, click, etc..

I got an 06 Sports Edition and the seat creaking sound has finally got to me. Sorry if this is repost, but I'm looking for DIY Fix thread for the power seats. Wish I would of caught this under warranty :sobbing:.

When mine starts creaking I loosen the hold down bolts and spray lithium grease on metal to metal points and retighten then spray some grease on the sliding rail and work back and forth several times. Put newspaper around the carpet etc. to avoid messes.

The noise in mine was coming from inside the seat back towards the seatbelt buckle/lumbar area. Unfortunately that is too difficult to spray grease on. And the best part (sarcastic), both 2008 4runners did it in both front sets of front seats. It's awful. The '08 Sport has been back to the dealer 7 times for the same issue, but looks like it will all be fixed up soon. The '08 UR is just at the beginning stages of visiting the dealer. They have to test all of their band-aid theories first, but will ultimately (as they did on the sport) replace the seat frames.
