Drivers door lock issue

When it's really hot outside (SoCal gets over 100° easily) the drivers side door lock won't lock using the door lock switch. I don't have a remote so that's the way I lock the car when I get out. I have to manually push the door button down.

Maybe it's a solenoid issue, but it works perfectly all other times except when the car gets really hot in the sun.

Any ideas before I tear the door apart?

Mine tends to do that as well. But I even try the beeper and it locks all doors but the driver and won't beep. I was thinking it was the battery but it's still good so idk haha it hasn't done it since. It's been nice the past couple weeks.

Same thing goin on over here. Ive found that if i park so the sun isn't hitting my door my drivers side door lock doesn't act up.

I know this isn't a fix but it will do till i order the part to do the job. Heck might as well change out the speakers while I'm at it.

You will need the collars, I can't remember how difficult it is to remove them. I would think you could re use yours, but I'm old and can't remember stuff, just ask El Durko.

I have no clue. I live in a temperate climate. I don't think we have that issue up here.

I have the same issue but it affects the doors randomly, and it only happens on very hot days, in direct sun light. It won't lock with the key fob or the switch, but I can push it down. Today is the first day its happened this year. Its only happened in Vegas. 90 degree days in SC were never and issue. My car does a bunch of odd crap when its in the 110 degree desert.
