Drivers Side Mirror Question...

I just noticed the drivers side mirror is loose and starting to hang. Can't believe something is loose, some idiot probably banged it. At any rate, before I dive in and bugger something up...

Can I get to the mirror just by taking the small tweeter speaker off? Or do I have to remove the door panel first?

Has anyone taken the mirror off, tightened it, or replaced it?

Pretty sure you just have to take the tweeter section off. I ended up breaking the hold down tabs pulling the panel off, so be careful.

Nelson - That is my fear, pulling something to the point of breaking it. Anyone have suggestions???

Duct Tape? Like Nelson said... Just be firm but gentle.

Honestly, I would just go for it. There is a little plastic piece that forms a ball and socket type holding mechanism, and if you break that, no big deal, you can get new ones super cheap. They are really tight though and you can break the actual black plastic panel part. Even that isn't expensive though, certainly worth a try to fix the mirror.

On one side I broke the little plastic collar, and on the other, I broke the plastic panel. I havn't fixed either and they both sit in place just fine. I don't even notice it.
