hi! my 1995 4Runnner driver's side tie-rod has a lot of loose in it and if i try to twist the tie-rod forward or aft the whole tie-rod moves . the passenger tie-rod is all tight and does not move at all .
Here is a picture of what i mean , a part of the tie-rod is missing but everything is moving when i try to twist , from the outter to inner !

My question is , do i need to replace the whole driver's side tie-rod or it is only the tie rod end (outter tie-rod) that has to be replaced?
Also do you have any tips for the job , first time doing it , from the looks it doesn't look too hard (2 nuts) , and also , if i buy a new inner, sleeve, outter tie-rod , when assembling it all together do i have to immitate the numbers of turns the one i pulled out has? I also read a few posts and from what i understand i don't need to take out the wheels to do the job , is that true?
Sorry for the noob questions , first time working on tie-rods !
Thanks !
