Driving Playlists (good songs only)

I thought this section would be the best place to post this.

In recent weeks I have become tired of the music in my library, and I thought what better place to ask for some good quality songs. If anyone has any good playlists and or songs that you love comment them below. And hopefully this can be helpful to others in the same situation or anyone in need of some good songs.

What kind of music did you listen to?

Solo driving, I prefer trance. Makes the road trip go by so much faster.

With passengers, usually classic rock.

Yeah none of my friends like it either. Its all I listen to snowboarding, gets me all relaxed. I do way better when I dont think about what Im doing; when I think about it, I biff. If that makes sense.

I like it for highway driving because it puts me in that subconscious driving state, ya know? Where you aren't really consciously paying attention to what you are doing or even thinking about anything, and when you do snap back to reality you don't remember the last hour of driving haha. (probably pretty dangerous, lol)
 
4-Ripcord, I listen to just about everything country, rock, rap even some alternative or electronic songs, I look on justexcellentbeats.com all the time sometimes they have good stuff sometimes not. Great suggestions, keep them coming. For those who love trance, check out the soundtrack for the new SSX it has some amazing songs, my personal favorite is Young Blood by The naked and famous and It's Tricky by Run DMC (remix by prettylights) Thanks for the suggestions guys I am putting them on my computer ASAP.
 
For those classic rockers out there, yesterday I drove a decent amount while listening to some Jimi Hendrix and Rolling Stones really just about any of their songs are great...
 
Almost forgot, The Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane, Take it easy and life's been good to me so far. All great driving songs.
 
I think most of you are younger than me as I am a hair's breadth from 50. Most of the songs listed above is what I listened to when they were new lol. That said, here is what I put into a playlist last night:
1. Chevelle - Hats Off to the Bull
2. Redlight King - Bullet In My Hand
3. M83 - Reunion
4. Mute Math - Typical
5. Alter Bridge - Ghost of Days Gone By

I drive between 25-30K miles/yr so I have a lot of windshield time for music.
 
1engineer, If you don't mind me asking what type of engineering do you do, I'm studying Mechanical at NC State. Also M83 is one of my alltime favorite bands, if any of you have seen the Art of Flight (snowboarding movie) they have an amazing list of songs from their album Hurry Up We're Dreaming. Outro is my favorite but I like almost all of their songs.
 
M83 and chevelle will always have a spot in my playlists. Love those bands.

Not so much a fan of chevelles new album though, still think vena sera was their best.

Yea me too. If you want to listen to something different and you are a fan of just good music listen to Escala's Requiem for a Tower, Palliado and their version of Kashmir. They rock.
