DRL disable: odd symptom

I did the DRL disable on my 2001 sport and now when i start my truck, the high beam light on my cluster blinks at about half its light output/intensity for a unspecified amount of time then goes away. I dont have any other bulbs out currently. When i activate the high beams that indicator light works and lights up its usual brightness.

Anyome know what would cause the blinking on start up?

Check wires around the drl module, check fuses, etc. Did you wire in a switch or just cut the wire?

Just cut the wire.
