DRL/Parking/Fog Lights mod question

I was wondering if there was a mod for the existing stick that allows the fog lights to turn on without the main headlights? For example, when I turn my DRLs and parking lights and try to turn the knob for the fog my fog lights nothing happens. They only come on when the headlights are on. I have read a mod on the forums that allows something like this but in doing so, the fog light indicator on the instrument panel becomes disabled. Thanks.

I THINK that no one has solved not having the indicator come on - somewhere someone may have installed a separate LED but I could not find it. Others may chime in as my active forum knowledge is a couple years out of date.

I mounted a separate LED in there to light the indicator up. It's further along in my thread somewhere.

This may be one of my first mods. I've never owned a vehicle that wouldn't let me run fogs with just parking lights.
