Do these same instructions and part numbers apply to a 2006 4Runner?

YES! Toyota only changed some cosmetic exterior items on the 06 models. Nothing electronically was changed to the best of my knowledge. It is an easy mod that can be done in about 1-2 hours.

I think you're right, but i think (maybe) that the screws and nuts have changed. I tried doing it, and seems that the bolts or lugnuts the instructions here said, wasn't the same in mine. Well eventually i gave up, but yes it is possible to do it on an 06 or 07.

The DRL mod does not involve nuts and bolts that have changed. You can do this mod on all model years of the 4Runners 03-present.
