Drum brakes grabbing at slow speeds

I had to replace the parking brake cable last mont on my 2000 4Runner. Ever since the rear brakes have been grabbing at slow speeds. The parking brake is adjusted to as loose as I can get it without the nut coming off. How do I adjust the brakes to get them not to grab?

You probably have a leaking axle seal. Fluid is getting on the pads causing them to swell and therefore grabbing. That’s what caused mine, exact same symptoms.

Have you checked your bell cranks? also are you positive you got the correct length cable assembly? there are several available.
