What I usually do is as soon as I am done washing it - I take it up and down the street a couple times. This takes most of the water off the body, and within the crevices. I then proceed to dry it with one of the chamois' my friends take from their dealership clean up departments. Works like a charm every single time.

I use a synthetic chamois since it never gets rough and soaks up way more water than a natural one. My friend has used a natural chamois for 9 years on his red Honda Civic and his chamois has a red tint to it and that kinda freaked me out. Maybe there's a clear coat issue on his car but that situation keeps me sticking with a soft synthetic chamois.

Quick trip around the block, to blow off excess, then BLOT with microfiber waffle towel. No rubbing ever with black paint!
