DTS Mechanical Aptitude Test

I got 64%, a failing score. The electrical questions killed me!!! I did ok on the first gear rotation questions, but the pulley questions gave me some trouble. Shows how little I really know. I guess I should have paid more attention in physics class.

72%.

Not passing, but I'm pretty darn happy with that considering the last time I had a physics class was ten years ago.

ETA: If I hadn't second guessed on several, I may very well have passed. I always do that. Kinda surprised how much of the force Q's I missed considering that is the one of the few physics priniciples I use with any regularity in my day to day.

Wow, right on the bubble at 80%. Great test!!! I love stuff like that, really makes you use your brain for more than a skull stuffer.... :bigok:

You can review the entire test from the final screen - one of the icons present allows you to do so. Correct answers are even given for the ones missed.

Well I guess 400 points and a score of 80% isn't too bad? Now I remember why I didn't want to be an engineer! LOL :D

56%. But riddle me this, who can solder leds to work in their rear bumper as extra tail lights AND brake lights?

This guy.

I passed - 84% or 420 points.

Lost most points on gears questions. i must have difficulty figuring out which way to turn... :biggrin2:

Ouch 64%, most of my answers were based on common sense. My mechanical knowledge is very limited. Cool quiz though.

98%

I thought air was drawn into a NA engine's cylinder by the piston creating suction, not atmospheric pressure.

Nope. Not that my score was anywhere near as good as yours, that was one that I remembered from my very limited schooling way back in the day. Air definitely enters the cylinders of a N/A engine from atmospheric pressure, not vacum. Impressive score though Koz.

My score on the mechanical test doesn't matter, I have a 4Runner not a Grand Cherokee :bigok:

I am sure if I reidrected what capacity I have left away from my superior desicion making abilities (buying a 4Runner instead of...) I might have scored more than a 420 but I like it this way, dumb and lucky. It's worked so far! :biggrin2:
