Duals Install

T4Rs,

I've done some research, but I wanted to hear your opinions before making any purchases. I'm looking into doing duals probably magnaflow or gibson. I like the look of straight pipes in pipe, but I have heard that routed to the side keeps fumes from coming into car when back window down.

Where is best spot to buy (auto zone, advanced auto zone, summit racing, local muffler shop, etc.)?

What should I expect to pay for install?

Thanks,

Dr. Doeback

P.S. How hard are cold air intakes to install?

Intakes are EASY to install. As for your exhaust it depends on the materials you use (aluminum, steel, 304 ss, 321 ss, etc) and how many bends they have to do. For just a weld on I've seen people pay between $50-$120 but since you want duals I would expect it to be maybe 300-500. The factory exhaust's diameter is 2 1/4 so look for that or go 2 1/2. Use that diameter and find how long you want your muffler to be (the longer, the more quieter it will be) What I have, not installed, is a magnaflow 36in muffler with a 3in diameter. Most people here go with a 2 1/4 18in or 24in muffler from magnaflow.
