Dueler H/L Alenza Installed today P245/60R20

After the stock Dueler HT tires wore out on the 2010 LE I decided to go with the new H/L Alenza in the stock size (P245/60R20).

I am very happy after about 200 miles on the tires (mostly highway). I had noticed that they did look a bit beefier/wider and this was confirmed when someone in another thread mentioned that they are wider by spec than both the factory/stock Dueler and Geolander tires.

They seem just a quiet and smooth on the highway as the stock tires, ride seems fine @ 70, no noticeable tracking on highway.

$850 installed @ local Tires Plus.

I had considered a wide tire but for a few reasons I decided to stay with the stock size.

A. 7" rim width restrictions for tire size based on manufacturer specs

B. I spend 99.9% of my miles on a paved road.

C. I have a second set of 20 LE wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak in P245/60R20 for winter use.

D. Highly rated for wet conditions.

I tried getting those and no one would order them. I will be interested how you make out with them. I ended up getting the H/T's this time around.

I had to try several tire places before I found one that could get them in a timely fashion. Most places were out of stock for months.

OP, can you give us an update on this? How is it wearing? Quieter than OEM Dueller's? I'll need new tires in about a month.

Went through two sets of these on our 07 RX350 Lexus. Great tires. Got 57,000 miles out of the first set, then traded the car with 15,000 miles on the second set. Still looked new.

Great wet traction and quiet on the interstate.

Just ordered the Alenza Plus on Tire Rack. My local Tires Plus were out of stock. I even tried Costco, but they were out of stock and couldn't even order them. I don't know how Tire Rack has stock when no one else does...LOL.

I'll post up follow up pictures and my ride review once they are installed.

I have over 11,000 miles on my Alenza's and they look brand new. They even still have the little rubber things on the sides. Much better than the standard Dueller.

Tire Rack had them in stock. But all the local tire places checked their warehouses and all were empty. Costco called their Bridgestone distributor and they were out. Tires Plus couldn't find any either. Tire Rack had them shipped from their Delaware warehouse to MD in one day. Maybe they bought up all the stock? I just know that in the DC/MD/VA area, this tire size is hard to find.

Everyone was sold out, however, I did find an ebay store that had plenty in stock. I spoke with them on the phone and via email. seems very legit.

I love these tires. Got 1.8mpg more with them. Have 15000 miles on them and they look brand new. Had the tires rotated and they only dropped 2mm. Interested for our first real snow fall, but so far I am very happy with my purchase.

Bridgestone Alenza Plus

Ordered a set of these yesterday , be getting them put on tomorrow . Getting them in 275/55-20 on factory rims. I don't go off-roading anymore 99.9% of the time , city and highway probably 85% highway so ride quality and noise level are high on priority list. Pretty hard core Bridgestone , just like I'm hard core Toyota so really didn't consider another tire brand. The 275's will probably be more susceptible to hydroplaning but hopefully not to adverse.
