Duhockeys 4th Gen Build

Well, most of the 3rd genners know me pretty well, but I haven't been on a ton since March when I bought my 07 SR5.

The 3rd Gen is now SOLD... so I have some updating of my sig and some updating of this thread to do. Lets start at ground zero.

The day I bought the 4th Gen, I had just sold my POS Prelude and my wifes Outlander was about to need alot of work. I went straight to Toyota and got them to give me about 3k more for that Outlander than it was worth and got a pretty much fully loaded SR5, Leather, DVD player, roof rack and everything.

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/EycoJruKcgnLYtFqCudh7NMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--RmM75c1FwA/T2F_6nCUWhI/AAAAAAAAE4Y/UGkUpBF4mq8/s400/Lysa4runner.jpg" height="301" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/Cars?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">Cars</a></td></tr></table>

At Chick-fil-a just after we bought it. Low quality pic for some reason...

EDIT: Adding some pics from LINY4Runners trip out here. the 4th gens 1st offroad experience

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/6bRVIm4qXJMzh_475GW9bNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3TGrtKvXY9U/UNAhxm6tLnI/AAAAAAAAGn8/694JiJo5wko/s800/543368_10151475214650594_572419985_n.jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/074runnerBuild?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">07 4runner build</a></td></tr></table>

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/cXhndh9s0xlOAM9_UAIDNtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-dwtFT3tMl9Q/UNAhx8U5x2I/AAAAAAAAGoA/IY8ysDbABh8/s800/564573_10151475213560594_1037814013_n.jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/074runnerBuild?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">07 4runner build</a></td></tr></table>

and then it climbed this HUGE boulder... STOCK!

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/yKnN3Eymi1O1sTEVDgFextMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xnIMQeiwYPU/UNAhyJ-OwoI/AAAAAAAAGoI/JncK822K1ag/s800/477818_10151486779265594_2022802530_o.jpg" height="534" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/074runnerBuild?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">07 4runner build</a></td></tr></table>

And then... back to present day.

so the day after I sold my 3rd Gen build thread here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/59758-duhockeys-build-thread-lots-pics.html

I went to Toytec to see my good buddies steezemcqueen and sn0wrunner and I got some fun stuff.

Toytec making me feel all Christmassy for buying stuff for myself! LOL

And then all loaded up,
Ultimate lift, 1" body lift and Spidertrax spacers all around

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_lTiXSIw9QYC-lTNlV7zKNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-pa7PA0aYO_U/UMfPxwNyfaI/AAAAAAAAGe4/ZJqd1NlSPC4/s800/2012-12-11_13-49-49_409.jpg" height="451" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/074runnerBuild?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">07 4runner build</a></td></tr></table>

Also, If you want a few extra pics of the 4th gen on its first "wheeling" experience before it was lifted, check out the first post again, I will edit it in a few to include several pics from LINY4Runners trip out here. Most of the trails were closed in the area due to fire. so we dinked around...

So, bought sn0wrunner 's old tires and wheels,

I have spacers, but there was some rubbing on the front bumper and wheel well guards..

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/5QkFr8MvriWqQCQkGnNSwdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-EDst6JGmZpA/UPqa3uYblmI/AAAAAAAAHV8/lIkr45T1Rbc/s800/2013-01-17_17-05-45_357.jpg" height="451" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/106779729868072622389/074runnerBuild?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">07 4runner build</a></td></tr></table>

Ended up taking out the wheel well guards and then cutting some of the inside of the bumper with a dremel. No rubbing at all now!

Gave her a bath and whalla!

I need to get a pic from straight on or right behind it to give a better idea of how the offset of the wheels helps push out the tires compared to the stock wheels. Love the stance!

Such a good stance! What size tires are those? Im in CO too (SE Aurora area) and just bought a 4th gen this past weekend. So far I love it, cant wait to do a little lift and tires though, they look really good. Ill have to check out rm4x4.com, id love to get together with a group for some fun runs or something.

How much life left on those tires? They look pretty worn in the first pic but not so much in the second 2

the backs have about 60% and the fronts about 40%..

still light years better than the street tires I had on there before...

which I may unmount and sell...

Yeah, I LOVE the stance with those wheels and the spidertrax... makes it look tons tougher! Just wait til I get the 1' Body lift on, remove the running boards and put on some sliders (still need to purchase) that and a CB are the next mods. Definitely check out RM4x4! we are always looking for cool people to wheel and hang with!
