dummy light

My dummy light (mtce light) does not light. When I drove 7950km, first oil change it never lit and hasn't yet at 16010km second oil change. I have never reset it per the manual. I do all mtce myself don't trust stealerships anyone else experienced this prob? thanx in advance

I would like to de-activate my maintenance idiot light. 7,500 miles is not the schedule that I follow, so I use the second trip odometer reading as my maintenance reminder.

Yeah I always use the second trip meter for maintenance schedule. But actually it is very easy. It used to be every 2500 with dino oil, so you just work in increments of 2500. Now it is every 5000 with M1 starting at 20k miles. SO it is 20..25..30....

Pretty easy.
