dust boot question

Are dust boots a good thing on a shock ? I see that the rear bilsteins come witha dust boot on but the front ones don't do you guys recommend a dust boot for front shock ?

I'm no expert... but I would think that having them is better than not.... at the very least... it doesn't hurt to have them... I hope someone with actual knowledge on the subject will add some comment to the matter for you...

Most PNW wheelers end up removing them. They get packed with mud and do more harm than good. If you aren't wheeling it then I'd leave them on.
