Dying for a set of bolt on sliders...

Well I know I'm going to get the reponses to tell me to just weld them on but thats just not gonna happen cause I know I'll wanna take them off and on frequently. Shrockworks are awesome, but they're $600... I just dont know what to do. I know there's Demello, Stubbs, and CBI but none of them make what I'm looking for. What should I do here?

Nope, I emailed the owner (real nice guy btw) and he said he doesnt and will never make a bolt on set...

Guess I'm still searching!! :driving:
 
Find a local fab shop and see how much it would be to build what you want or order the set that you want and see about fab'n bolt on brackets. Both will most likely be expensive but its worth a try.
 
Find a local 4x4 fabricator and have them made exactly the way you want them for a whole lot less than $600. Bolt-on are fine, had some on my Landcruiser and they never budged and got beat up regularly.

Out of curiosity, what are you looking for that the above companies do not offer? Also, why would you take them off and on frequently?
 
I'm with Darkie, but mainly why would you want to take them on and off?
There are several reasons why they would never build a bolt on set.
If you really use them like what they are built for you will have a hell of a time getting them to bolt on and off, they are going to bend the bolts and or brackets they were mounted to (now this is if you really used them):lookout:
 
Weld-on sliders are in my future... either Stubbs HD SKO or I'll build my own with the help of a friend.

From what I've read/heard, bolting them on is no easy task so I'd bet that once they're on, you'd probably not want to take them off... just something to consider.

If you're really set on bolt-ons, I agree with the others... find a local off-road/fab shop and spend your money on exactly what you want. Sliders are a relatively easy job for an off-road-oriented fab shop so you should be able to get a decent price. Keep us posted.
 
Also why go after a set of sliders when you don't need them? If you're going for looks then just find a set of bolt on side steps/nerf bars/running boards. I'm sure they are out there.

or just sack up and pay for a good set of weld on sliders. There's a reason they dont make bolt on sliders.
