I managed to use my Best Buy Discount and grab a trunk kit for 60 bucks. Install was REALLY easy and if you are picky like me, you will notice the change.

I only did the floor and the back door becuase I really didn't think that the sides needed it, but here is a pic of the back door before I put the panel back up.

Pardon my ignorance please, but is that meant for thermal insulation or sound deadening, or both? Is it heavy?

If move120 doesnt mind me answering...Dynomat is a sound deadener used a lot in custom cars with big stereos.

hahah i don't mind, hes right but it does have some thermal effect too (nothing dramatic), mainly for sound deadning. It more or less stops most vibrating and road noise. It is fairly light too.

wasnt pleased

I purchased that same box and did my rear hatch and could tell no difference. After bringing my car to a custom shop they told me that for it to make a difference and to stop the vibration of my subs, i would need 2-3 layers over the entire car!!

so i cut off a small rectangle for my liscence plate and returned the rest. My personal solution: turn it up louder and the vibration "goes away":p

2 12" MTX subs would do that..

Also, it depends on how the doors are made, and how you applied it, you really need to heat and roll that stuff on, and have it countour the metal.

One layer is good for road noise, rattle, real rattle dosent stop without a few layers, they are correct.

Instead of spending $170.00 why not glue sofa cushions down? HA HA I am sure this would reduce noise and provide a cushy interior too LOL.

i know, it really wouldnt suprise me if someone did it.

Somone came to the installation bay with an 8" Subwoofer mounted in a KFC bucket before...
