E7019 Tilt Issue

Upfitted & currently running an E7019 in my 4th gen. (non-JBL). Out of nowhere, my unit starts to tilt out. When going thru settings to tilt it back in, the unit complies, but then tilts back out automatically. Sometimes will even tilt in and out on it's own. Not really sure where/ how to diagnose, and haven't had any luck finding any write-ups on the issue. Any leads/help/suggestions??

I have a video of the issue, but not sure about how to upload it here...any suggestions!?

Try them:

REPAIR SERVICE Toyota Navigation GPS E7007 Radio 4 CD Player DVD Drive stereo | eBay

Thanks for the link! crazy what can be found on the internets!

To further explain/ seek input, if the issue isn't something readily known/ "fixable", I am more inclined to throw the $200+ for service/refurb towards an aftermarket replacement. My thoughts are that with the cost of service + a little more, I can get something with a little more functionality and more current systems. I love the obvious OEM look of the E7019, but not enough to use something broken that isn't true OEM to the 4Runner anyway.

Anyone have input/opinions on this either way??

I'm a junkie when it comes to all things OEM. I love my E7009, but if I have to spend more than a certain amount, yeah, I may just chuck it and get something modern (Something that offers Apple Play, Text to speech, Live Traffic, music streaming, etc etc). The E7*** are all limited to what is available today. Realize these units were designed back in the early 2000s. Again, I'm OCD when it comes to factory parts. When it comes to the HU, yeah, I may have to replace it with something more useful when the times comes.

good luck!

$271.00 (cost to repair it by the shop in the link I sent) won't buy you a new Navigation stereo with all the goodies, BUT have you thought about repairing it and throwing it on ebay? I was lucky and got mine for $700 back in 2010. Lately, they go for well over $1K used. I dunno why. Just a thought.................
