Easily Overlooked Item (Pretty Important)

I was checking out my engine today, cleaning it up and discovered the small diameter vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator to the throttle system had dried out and broken in two. I have no idea how long it has been this way. It's not something I would normally check for but from now on, I will.

Seems like a small bump in MPG now that it is fixed. Just thought I'd share.

Sorry, I just jumped on it and fixed it. Did not think to take pics. If they are needed (to identify the location I mentioned) will be glad to take one but it will show the new vacuum hose already in place.

Man, how many MPG bumps have you gotten so far? All these additives and small fixes must've doubled your MPG by now.

With the addition of some Liqui Moly, BD is averaging 23mpgs now.

I need to make a cursory look in the engine bay to see which lines need to be replaced next year.

Probably a good idea but it seems like it'll be so much work to track down the bad lines and find replacements lol.

Why don't you take a pic of the now fixed hose at a minimum

Go to play time 25:45 in the video below and you'll see the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose the OP is talking about. It's hard to see when the plenums are on because it's on the backside of the engine near the firewall.

I believe those hoses are cut off a reel as per needed length and are not a part number order as are some of the other vacuum lines are.

I have started to replace hoses with stuff off a reel rather than pay for preformed hoses. I don't see an issue with this. It is a lot less expensive. Is there a down side to doing this?
