Easy Cheap Fast Blinker LED FIX

Guys, quick heads up, I installed my outdoor logic front bumper, it came with led turn signals, they blink rapid as if a light bulb is burnt out, we all know why, resistance.

Long story short, lets keep the thread clean so those who are searching can find this and keep it simple.

Install a Tridon EP-35 relay unit from napa, or autozone etc, call and ask for that part, its about 10 bucks or less. It clicks into behind the fuse block by your left foot panel, driver side.

Flick the hazard on, listen where the relay is, and change it. Took me about 10 minutes to change, and now the blinker is back to normal. Thanks all, happy wheeling!

:thanks:

quite positive that didn't work on the flasher part # 81980-12070, which is what i had in my 4runner. Could be wrong, but i did read something like that, that didn't work on my model year.

can you post some pictures/write up for this thread? ive been wanting to do this but this is the only thing that is stopping me.. well that and the funds

i dont have any pictures, but here is a quick write up:

-buy the relay tridon ep-35.
-remove the dash panel that is where your knees go when your driving, 4 10mm bolts total, lower it out of the way.
-locate the fuse box on the left hand side, remove the two bolts holding that on so you can just push it out of the way a little bit
-you will see a relay plugged in labled FLASHER, unplug that, pull it out
-install your new relay, and re assemble!

literally a ten minute fix, maybe this can go in a section where it can remain stickied or some sort of tech help? people search for this often and can't find a easy simple answer.

Is this the one? Linky NAPA It doesn't say 'LED's" on it, that I can see...

Need a hand here. Just installed my front LED turn signals and as expected having the double time blinkers but the flashers worked fine. Came across this post and pretty much followed it but no luck. any suggestions?

from what i can tell it is the larger of the two relays in this photo. right?

I am so glad I saw this thread I had no idea how to fix the fast blinkers. Just went out and bought the ep35 works perfect and took me like 2 minutes to put it in.It makes a little bit different noise than the stock relay I'll have to get used to that
