eBay key & remote (VW-Audi style)

This retracting key-remote is a good concept, but the quality of the case and rubber buttons are poor quality. Programming the remote was easy. I havent got the key cut or programmed yet....Thank god it was only $60+ .

This remote doesn't compare to the quality of an OEM VW/Audi key-remote. After a couple of drops, cracks in the body will not surprise me. It feels like if you push too hard on a button, you might be able to break it...that's how cheap it feels.

that sucks to hear that. I've ordered the swichblade style (the first one u got on accident, I think) hopefully that one is better. I'll post an update whenever I get it working.

Speaking of which, when u did have the switchblade style key, how did that feel compared to the retractable? If you got a good feel for it that is.

between these two cheap remotes, I'd get the switchblade...

But it still isnt as durable as an OEM -FOB remote currently out there.

Buttons and plastic casing feel cheap...I guess we got what we paid for?

I had the "switchblade" style key for my Jetta, talk about addicting! The key was amazing, just so addicting to open and close open and close.

haha thats funny thats the same thing I do with my 07 Tl Type-S key and my wifes mazda 3 key, bought her switchblade keys cause they are cool she likes them a lot. I like it with hers though cause they are mazda keys, as opposed to the generic style on ebay.
