Ebay lights

I was browsing T4R parts on ebay and was wondering if any of you have purchased the clear corners and signal lamps ('98)? Anybody get the euro-taillights? I have a red '98 and was wondering if the tails would look alright or stupid? Some vehicles just can't pull it off. My Lightning looks great with clear tails (they're stock mind you).

I also have one headlight housing that is clear and one that isn't (result of a previous owner fender bender repair I'm assuming). I like the clear one and would like to replace the other in kind... is it aftermarket or did Toyota start putting clear lenses on after '98?

I have the clear corners and bumper lights off Ebay and they are good quality. I think the ones I have are Depo. Euro taillights are So Gay. I don't think i've ever seen a runner pull off that look. The '99+ 3rd gens got the nicer, clear headlights so it sounds like someone replaced one of the lights with the wrong year. If you want to get another clear headlight then you should look for the Depo brand or Toyota ($$$) to ensure the beam pattern is factory. If the beam pattern on the clear one looks like this _/ it has a factory beam pattern.

ya get factory oem 99-02 headlights any other cheap one's will suck

I also bought some clear corner lights off Ebay and even though it is not OEM quality they are still fine.
Not everyone cares for the altezza style tail lamps but there are also some tails that are just clear/frosted looking.The clears seem to look good on certain colors,my runner is Desert Dune and the clear lens looks pretty good.
Look on the board at other people's runner's and see if someone has your color with clears on it to get an idea of how you like it.

As far as newer style headlights everything I read on here says go OEM on the headlights. I just recently bought a set from a salvage yard too..

First chance I'll install it all.....

So I got the clear corners and bumper lights mounted. Took my time and maybe took 20-30 minutes. The quality and fit is good but not as well made as OEM for sure. Notably the sealing gasket does not appear as good as OEM. They look great. For the price I'm happy especially if they will remain sealed and not fill with water or moisture.

yeah, no one on the board has put clear corners on red/sunfire, i will in the spring, and make sure you buy the clear corners and clear bumper's.

Thanks guys, defenitely going to do the clear corners 'n signals but I'll hold off on the tails until I've seen them... they really only look good on maybe 10% of vehicles on the road so I don't want to waste my money.

I have a set of the clear corner/bumpers on my '02 sport-think they look great with the Thundercloud Metallic. The taillight question is all about preference. The Altezza lights are not for me. I have the stock tails from '02 and still think they look the best. Keep an eye on ebay as well as your local junkyard for the matching headlight. I find "GOLD" everytime I go...Good luck.

Depo brand sizzuckksss. Seriously all 4 leaked! shouldn't be that hard to make them waterproof.

One more thing....V-LEDS sells on Ebay and I have had great success with their products. Just picked up the LED amber corner bulbs recently to go with all of the others and love them. The LED bulbs can give an updated clean look imo.
