The seller lists NO RETURNS but the item is backed by eBay protection, so if they end up being fakes, you file a claim with eBay

Do not buy.

Chinese are making fake toyota parts and it is being caught in UAE. The shipment was ready to go to Australia but somehow it was caught, not sure what has happened to it. The part is NOT coming from the USA so you can imagine the origin.

Just buy from a reputed seller as it is a vital part for the occupants inside the truck and pedestrians and to your truck. I won't gamble with steering, brakes or any safety related parts. Always buy OEM from a reputable shop.

Good luck with doing ebay protection. If the seller has about 100K sales then they might else NO!

I bought some "genuine" Fuel Injectors last year that ended up being knock offs, at 40 bucks a piece. I fought with eBay to take them back. It took about 3 months to get my money back, all said and done.

Being that many members here buy from Amayama and some of their stock ships from the UAE, that statement makes me pretty nervous. I’m still in the market for ITRE’s and OTRE’s but the possibility of this being the case ultimately made me buy my LBJ’s from Cameback Toyota. Peace of mind with critical safety parts. I’ll probably do the Sankei 555 ITRE’s from Napa or Autozone and get the OTRE’s from Camelback too.

I don't know Toyota labeling well enough at this point, as I do my employer's, to make such a determination. Legally, it's not considered CF crossing our border if the items have no branding at that point. So, if these are non-genuine items, they are likely getting fake labels here in the US.

I saw the UAE option at Amayama, which raises a concern; and their pricing is quite low too...

So who were the ones you mentioned earlier bought from? An eBay seller? It seemed that since they came from the UAE that all signs pointed to Amayama being the source. A little clarification would go a long way!

I heard this news few months ago. The case was UAE authorities caught few cargo containers en route to Australia from China.

I bought a "genuine" Oem fuel injector off eBay for $20 a couple weeks ago, I didn't notice any difference from the one I removed but the box it was in said made in China so I'm sure it's a knock off. Works fine though.

CF equipment that my employer, with the help of the federal government, intercepted at the border, work and by some accounts even well. Tests performed found than none actually worked well, or not even close to spec. Inferior components were used as well as techniques employed to create the replicas. As an example, operating temperature ranges were not even remotely close to the original. Not only did failure happen every time, a few caught on fire...

Buy through authorized channels is something I will abide by with my Runner now too.
