Ok, I got TL retros, but had to take them off recently because:
1) Wire harness took a crap on me.
2) State inspection is due NOW. (don't want to find out if Toyota will fail me with the retros)
3) I had the main & engine wire harnesses replaced last summer. I've gotten a few CEL but quickly turn off. I want Toyota to check it out and NOT blame the HIDs for any fault.
4) I never did sell my replacement ebay lights. I guess asking $60 shipped was too much???
Anyway, the stock headlights are about $175 for each one (retail $224.20). On ebay, OEM-like are $90 shipped, for BOTH of them. For those who do not care about quality components and want them to "just do the job", these lights are for you. Installing them was easy, fitment was good. Quality? Horrible. On the bottom part of the light (where its supposed to be chrome), One was a perfect chrome, the other was a hazy. Sorry no pics of that. They leak (one of them anyway) and the light they throw out are horrible.
Anyway, here ya go:
After one car wash with a garden hose: (August 2011).
Beam pattern: Blotchy. I know they are a bit out of alignment, but even aligned the pattern is very bad. These pictures are a little misleading, it doesn't look as bad, but believe me, it's bad. On the road, looks like a flash light is taped to my bumper.
That's one heck of a "hot spot".
Anyway, I just thought I would share my experience with them. The corny addage applies here. You get what you pay for. Getting ebay lights? Expect this. I got ebay lights for my Civic too, those were bad too, but didn't leak water.
