Hey guys! I know that many here including myself like to use factory Toyota parts. I also know that there are many threads concerning specific eBay/Amazon parts such as suspension parts etc. However I would like to start a thread devoted to parts that you have used from eBay or Amazon that have proved to be reliable. Success stories only please. Thanks!

Cluster and bulbs worked good.

 
Very cool! Yes I have used some LED bulbs for my map lights and license plate bulb. Looks great. Who else has some success stories?

Ebay lightbars are mint, I just buy the absolute cheapest I can find. Paid 20$ for a 32" and 32$ for a 42". Both shipped prices. Have gotten about 5 ebay bars and all have worked great with zero modification.

My 98 didn't come with a fob for the security system. Ordered a new one from eBay and it works great. I also have ordered several led pods both for my runner and other vehicles and have had no issues whatsoever

I just received custom seat covers for my LTD front seats. I need to find the time to strip to original leather off and install new ones plus the seat heaters I have left over from another truck I sold before using them.
Also looking at a high output alternator on eBay to upgrade my charging system.
 
3rd Gen specific: People claim the eBay cheap LEDS are not good but I have several on the interior that are four years old and work fine. I also have cheap LED license plate lights.

The after market rear bumper fits great and hasn't rusted after four or five years. I just bought and installed a rear bumper extension and it fit fine.

Front clear corners from eBay fit and work. I've had them about three years. I think the brand is "Depo" and it's sold by several venders.

Someone hit & run the rear end on New Years Day in the daytime (!) so I ordered both tail lights. Truck is a 2000 but I got the more modern appearing 2001-2002 tail lights and they fit fine. The plugs are the same. Hit & Run was repaired for about $130 for tail lights and bumper extension.

Almost forgot those. Bought 2 of them for 60$ because they have a thinner centric ring than the Allpros and fit over my warn hubs. Work awesome, similar quality to the Allpros, and I even got lucky, they sent a set of 4 for 60$.

The Depo corners didn't do me too well. Keep in mind that I have no fender liners, but it was only a few months before they turned into fishbowls. The OEM corners have a much better seal.
 
I bought a few LEDs from Amazon and eBay. Success has been limited but acceptable. For the hard to reach and PITA to change bulbs (dash and console) I bought LEDs from superbrightleds.com

I bought projectors and ballasts from Amazon but ended up returning them, opting for DDM (quality wasn't much different but "lifetime" warranty)

Got name brand vent shades and WeatherTech floor mats from Amazon, cheaper than retail or group buys, so that was good.

Bought a China IAC from eBay but haven't installed it yet.

Aftermarket/third world parts can be OK, but generally you get what you pay for in life, and sometimes cheap becomes expensive.

Awesome, learning a lot already from this thread already! I bought the Victory Lap ND-36SOL Solenoid Repair Kit for my starter rebuild. It has been good. Came with beefy contacts and a nice plunger. Keep the stories coming.
