Ebay TPMS sensors, your experience?

Looking at replacing 4 TPMS sensors (2 dead, 2 showing low batteries from Discount tires scan tool) didn't even bother to have spare checked.

Ebay has all of these PMV107J sensors for around $40 for 4 of them. Discount wants $60 a piece but came down to $45 to match Costco.

Still $180 is nuts!

Any of you guys used the ebay ones? How'd that work out?

I considered the 2 wire splice override mod but would really like to keep the feature if I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

I use Autel ones because they came with my Autel scan tool and work. They are around 30/ea on Amazon. I have them in my 5 stock tires and 5 TRD pro wheel/tires. Work mint. Not super old so cant say how long the batteries last.

I bought a set off ebay and the tire shop can't get them to calibrate with their tool. only tried once, though. I may go to a different shop and try, but I'm not terribly concerned as I will probably just do the light-off trick.

Just a follow up. I bought four new BFGs today from discount tire. We talked about the TPMS sensors during the quote but I decided against it.

When they printed the work order to give to the tech in the shop for some reason they left the TPMS sensors on there so the guy's in the shop installed them. When it was time to pay they told me they installed them and I reminded them that I was holding off on doing the sensors at that time. They went ahead and comped them. Four brand new sensors all programmed and working perfect!

Can't say enough good things about Discount Tire!

Buy discount tire sensors. If the ebay ones dont work you will have to pay again to have them replaced. Dont trust ebay electronics

Just do the TPMS delete. It'll save you money and it's super easy to do.
