LOL, that's an area I'm too much of a wuss to play with. God Speed!

I'm cheap and an experimenter like you. (Or worse than you. :drum:) I might go ahead and get these now that you've figured out where the weak points are. Still ends up being a couple hundred cheaper than the All-Pros, even with the replacement bushings.

ajonesnv, were the original bushings good quality? Knowing what you know now, would you have ground down the original bushings to the correct size or still got replacement bushings from All-pro and modified those?

I would have used the original bushings. There was no indication that they were any less quality.

But in a way. It sounds as if they aren't really that bad at all. And for the $ ??

Going into it knowing potential pitfalls definitely makes a difference. I think they are fine now that they are worked through and would buy them again.

Im sure I will end up replacing the inner bushing sleeves down the road, just so they are "right".

If these had the right bushings and slug adaptors would you be able to tell the difference between other brands ?

How are they holding up so far?

Still running strong. They have been up some extremely gnarly terrain in their time so far as well.

Ill be doing my LBJ's and LCA Bushings in the coming weeks. I plan on pulling these and putting new bushings on, I also plan on making some longer bushing sleeves to match. But really I have zero complaints.

Vegas huh? Have you checked out the Vegas FJ Cruiser Facebook page a lot of 4runner guys.

my buddy bought a set of these, and i ended up turning some washers for him to fix the crush tube spacing. he ended up returning them though. I suspect that the crush tubes that come with the energy suspension kit for the front end on our trucks will work.

I would be interested to see how long the joints and the bushings do last. I'm not trying to be negative about them but i really don't see them holding up when you compare them to some of the other brands and its just not some i would want to take a chance on failing while out in the middle of nowhere. Or anywhere for that matter.

For example, Total Chaos does not release a product until it has 1000 race miles of testing and abuse subjected to it. If it doesn't pass that with flying colors, it doesn't get sold until it does.

Thats why i run the TC's.
