My GF is a cardiac nurse at top hospital here in SD and she says they have had no training and no special protocol. Call the CDC is the only current protocol.

Brian nailed it early on; the fact that the virus can persist in bodily fluids long after the carrier has died is making Ebola a nightmare to contain. Materials that touch infected patients need to be incinerated immediately, not strewn around the hospital. This is just nuts.

So apparently this "self monitoring" "exposed/at risk" nurse thought it appropriate to travel across the country less than a week after patient zero died...
Even I, who have zero medical experience, have more common sense/respect for others than that. When you are sick. Stay home until you are better... that's why there are things like sick days. Don't show up and get everyone else sick... this is common sense. Why on earth would you travel while within that 21 day period?
Its time to panic... haha.
Government is the only profession where you can completely fail at your job and get promoted. The CDC-bots failed...

In addition, the US owns a patent on at least one of the strains of Ebola. Just ask yourself "why" would they own a patent on it. Then ask yourself "how" as natural things cannot be patented. This virus must have been man-made.
Think about it. Do NOT trust what our government tell us. I have proof of despicable acts they have "gotten away with" and the sheeple continue to trust. We need to wake the f up.:flamethrwoer2:

Glen Beck is a very smart man. He is very manipulative. That being said I believe that Glen Beck is a complete fraud (IMO). He preaches "truth" and be a patriot etc... but when you question certain official stories that were told to us by the gov't he backs down and won't even talk about it.You're crazy dude. I'm very cynical when it comes to most things. I don't trust main stream media & what is told to us by our own government as I've not been given a reason to trust. I hope it's not true that people here are sick with Ebola. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Maybe people are sick, maybe they aren't. Maybe it is contained and they want to scare the shit out of us. I don't know. I'm not on the front lines of this.
Let me just say I wouldn't be surprised if this was set up to develop a vaccine and it was deemed "mandatory" that everyone gets one. Look for an executive order to be passed quickly. Let's just say at $20/vaccine which would be cheap. $6 billion for just the US if my quick math is correct. Follow that huge pile of money and see whose pockets that lines.
Take my twisted mind a little further.... maybe they might want to put something else in this "mandatory" vaccine. Call me crazy but maybe Ebola isn't what we really need to worry about.

I know. I was just making a comment of what I thought about Glenn Beck. Like I said, great historian, brilliantly intelligent. But that's a perfect "talking head" as people wont' question him as he appears to know what he's talking about.
Back in march when this thing was comin out in africa...I said if they dont contain the problem early its too late...I have been panicking ever since...I am in a constant state of anxiety:barf:, because so far everything that should have been done in the FIRST place has not even started to happen now! And our leaders and other people I talk to about it just shrug it off like its nothing. IT IS SOMETHING that everyone should be worried about. Its a very painful way to go out in this world. I have no medical experience but even I know when you have a problem that could be very bad...FIX IT with everything you got the first time! People will say "oh its hard to contract", "its a weak virus", "we have the best doctors". I work in a school and the flu goes around like its no ones business. Ebola is the same thing and besides there is no medicine for viruses...
This is so ideal. When was the last time it actually happened though?

I don't think that 'unlikely' is good enough for the seriousness of this situation. What if the WHO and CDC are wrong? What if people are contagious before they start showing symptoms? The CDC said the nurse had a 'low grade' fever of 99.5F, when their guidelines state that anyone with a fever running over 100F should be admitted for testing and treatment. Not to mention that the plane remained in service for several more flights before being cleaned. There are just way too many people and organizations dropping the ball on this.
