The only thing I hate about the unit is that you can't close it with a hardbutton, it will only work with a touch screen button which is a pain to see when the unit is open. I would have also like to have had the ability to play a DVD to feed a rear screen while still using the NAV for those long trip with the kids. The rest of the unit is amazing for an all in one package. The sound is much better than I expected especially with my added rear sub and amp.

I really like the AVN5435. Nav features are quick and very useful. Not being able to watch DVD while using Nav is a slightly annoyance, but thats why the AVN6600 is for. Sound quality is excellent (if you wiring everything correctly).
If you have heard of people having problems with feedback, it is not a problem of the headunit itself, but a problem with the install. If you ground everything the right way, you should not experience annoying feedback problems.

the kenwood package you are talking about is the PNAV6019 and retails around $1700. Kenwood nav is cool in a way that it gets updated by a SD card and Kenwood teamed up with garmin so their nav is on the money. I'm not a huge fan of kenwood but to the people I've installed it for I haven't had any complaints. It gets my vote for not having to have a CD in to use the navigation which is my only complaint about some of the pioneer units.
I think the Kenwood is easily bypassed for those that care about that.
They also offer a bluetooth add-on, although if its anything like the factory bluetooth in my wifes Infinity then I wouldn't bother. It seems to pick up so much road/car noise. Just get a good bluetooth headset for $45.

yes the kenwood is the easiest unit to bypass on the market...even easier than Dual and shit like that. Kenwood still uses the standard parking brake ground as their safety. No sequence or anything like that...just ground it.
