Does anyone know if this is a plug and play set up or would a harness need to be utilized? Thanks

It sounds like you are not familiar at all with installing this unit.
There is a plug and play harness to keep your oem amp..
Metra or pac. You would still need to splice a few wires.. also need a e-brake bypass if you want to use all the features, and its a pain in the ass to wire the backup camera. Use metra axcess to keep steering controls.

BTW for that price I would look into kenwood.

I don't have the JBL, another member asked about it, I know in the non-JBL it is for the most part plug n' play and expandable.
For the sack of further searches, this, from all I've read is not plug n' play compatible.
