For those who owns the AVN6620, can you let me know what version map are you using?

I am using ver.3.0 on my AVN6610

The 6620 runs ver 3.1. I am using a copy in my 6610 with no problems.

3.1 supports the XM direct2 so I now have built in XM.

off topic:

I have random VOL TEXT blinking on my AVN, whenever I play audio (cd/ipod/dvd/radio) Called Eclipse and t hey are clueless and want me to send my unit in and charge me $300+
Do you have any clue what this might be?

I had the blinking volume problem when I installed the Eclipse bluetooth kit. In my case moving the wire harness position away from other wires cured it. The mute wire seems to be very sensitive to external glitches.

The moderators have stated that they do not want any public bootleg disk discussions so PM me.

The volume text problem is very annoying... do you know what color is the mute wire? do you think it will work if i wrap electrical tape all around the wire?

Thank you GlennD.

The wire is the pink wire called cell phone mute. If it is not being used, I would cut it off leaving about one inch so that it could be spliced to if it is ever needed.

There seems to be a slight delay on the mute since I got the vol showing but rarely was the audio muted. In my case moving the bluetooth harness completly cured the problem

You can go to Eclipse's web site and download the install manual with the wiring diagrams.

I do not see anything on eclipse's site, however i see it on Parrot's, and they do not have the 06+ 4Runner only showed the 91-00 4Runner.

I don't seem to see the Pink wire here.

I guess I have to take it apart and look for it when I have time.

pictures?

Sorry, don't mean to thread jack - but can you guys send or post pictures of your head unit with the dash kit you've used? I'm planning to get the 6620 shortly, but haven't decided on the dash kit yet. It does not appear my search for the urban runner trim piece is going anywhere. Thanks!

I had my head unit out and I had the blinking problem and I could not totally eliminate it by moving the harness like before.

I added a 1 microfarad 16v electrolitic capicator from the mute wire to ground and it totally eliminated the problem. I surmise the line is very high impeadence and it was picking up engine glitches on the truck wiring.

Any update on this? is it still problem free?
I am thinking of just cutting the pink wire. this wire only does the mute for the cell phone right?

Purchase a axial lead 1mfd 16v or greater electrolitic cap. connect the positive (+) end to the pink wire and the neg (-) lead to the black wire.

I was unable to find the 1mfd 16v at radio shack last now. I ended up cutting the pink wire today so far no blinking vol txt. hopefully this will stay the stay forever! thanks GleenD

This is unrelated topic but ever since I put the AVN6620 in I have been getting CEL and all other lights come on. Do you know what might have cause this?

This happens to me before when I used to have the AVN6610 but I have corrected by double checking the wires. however i try to repeat the same on the AVN6620 but without any luck.

any suggestion/recommendation ?
