Eclipse HU help

Hey guys. I have an Eclipse AVN 6620 that was just installed and right off the bat i have the volume display blinking non-stop. ONLY when the vehicle is running, On accessory power it stops. I read somewhere in this forum (now i cant find the post) that someone else had this issue and was able to fix it buy re wiring something from the unit. Does anyone have any input on this.

I have this unit in my Tacoma and just ordered one for the 4R. I dont have this problem So I'm no help there. Sorry.... The guy that installed mine has done a ton of these so he might know. I'll give you his number if you want....He's a dealer here in AZ for Eclipse. I'm sure he would help ya out. Let me know.

bowtie, Yes please and THANKs!! this is killing me. I cant really even use the thing because it takes too long to press the screen. PM or email me! Im still going to the shop to B!tch them out. Now I just found out my bluetooth doesnt work, I cant hear through the system, but they can hear me. I just had a 5510 in a different vehicle and it worked awesome... Im really butthurt right now

I have the bluetooth on the way for the 4r. I heard it sucks with this unit though. You have a PM on the way!!!

heres the skinny from what i know about the parrot bluetooth on these units. On my last truck, 07 4runner SR5, eclipse 5510; using a samsung verizon phone it worked great, when i got a new LG voyager I noticed the bluetooth didnt sound nearly as good, same headunit (5510). Now i have the 6620 installed on a 07 4runner limited, currently doesnt even work.
I think these guys goofed a few things up. The bluetooth isnt working properly, The volume display is non stop blinking, they didnt wire the illumination ( so now at night i have this brite as hell navi screen blinding me as i drive!!), and im noticing a display light on the AC unit area that is dimming???? The intall looks good so far but it is dark out.
I knew i should have dome this myself!!! I just paid 1700 for all this installed, im a little upset right now.

Wow....$1700.....Little steep I think. But oh well. I also have the LG Voyager.....the Bluetooth was free with the order....But I really don't know if I'm going to use it. Let me know how everything works out. Can you at least use the thing without the E-brake on??? My only major concern with mine....Everything works great and can watch the DVD on the road...LOL

Bowtie, thanks for the insight. I was so mad last night. Im doing some trouble shooting today. I know i paid quite a bit for the install and the rational behind that was that someone more competent than me was to perform this operation... mistakes happen, either way it will get fixed. I will you contact on monday and ask him for his opinion. I've never had a problem with the E brake while using the navi, i think you can just ground that wire , but then again I never watched a dvd while driving.. Im a terrible driver as it is. lol. I think the flashing volume MIGHT be a bluetooth wire somewhere.. I will look today. ALso there is an ilumination wire to be connected and when you turn you headlights on, the deck dims alot and the navi screen reverses in color, Its really a great feature. The shop has to connect mine.

Sounds to me like the pink wire is not hooked up correctly.

Also check the orange/white wire for the display change feature when you turn on your headlights.

Okay so got it all taken care of!!! First off the install shop didnt attach the speed sensor, or it was incorrect! GPS works as it should now. illumination wire was hooked up. so im not blind at night
THE BLINKING VOLUME light was because the BT unit was somehow set up wrong and it was sending some type of mute signal to the unit which was causing the volume display to go crazy.
Also had them mount the GPS antenna in the roof rack! Posting all the pics and install shots tomorrow!! Thanks for all you help guys!!
