If my friend has an ecli[pse which I think he does, I dont ike his personally. But its only one of their decks. The problems are that its very complicated, you change the track by spinning a dial, and the display is awkward, doesnt show much and hard to read. Its only one deck and I dont know much about their decks. I hear its very good though.

I have had a couple of them in the past and as far as sound quality they are by far better than anything else out there. The signal output is higher than other decks also (makes for better sound quality).
Security is a plus because smart theives won't steal them because they only work with a special disk you have to put in after you disconnect the power. Of course there are still the idiots out there who don't realize this and steal them anyway.
Another plus is that some of the higher end decks actually plug right into our stearing wheel controls
One negative has already been mentioned...they can be complicated to use.

The AVN5435 is great with the NAV and DVD. As for MP3 playback isn't up to standard. It's slow when you're changing tracks and have a 2 second delay in between.
Overall its a great unit beside the slow MP3 reader.
This unit fit perfectly with the SR5 grill. You will need a customer grill if you have a limited with JBL sound system.

Now I've seen so-called "smart" theives get frustrated and do more damage to the car because they CAN'T steal something that they originally thought they could steal.... acts of destruction include, but are not limited to: ripping apart the interior, destroying the head unit, emptying a fire extinguisher, etc, etc.
I'll take any stereo with a detachable face over Eclipse's so-called security measure. It's all based on your view of what "security" really means.
But, they do make great units, I won't dispute that.

I think the best security system is a stealth install, if the theif doesn't think you have a system they are more likely to move on to the next vehicle.
I have become very paranoid after having 3 systems stolen in the past and with my current system a person would not know I even have anything aftermarket by looking into my rig.
Except for all of my JL stickers plastered on my windows...lol
