I've heard of throttle body spacers but MAF spacers? Come on... nothing like gaining MPG's by leaning out your engine by tricking it thinking it's flowing less air than it is. Never mind about long-term lean conditions and how they destroy engines and all that.

By the way, did you know that "manufacturers leave 20% of HP on the table" when designing cars??? You don't even need to do anything, just add their line of spacers and $50 plastic parts and you're golden!

Please don't buy this.

Better to go with 6. One for each cylinder. If you go with 5 you'd just end up with turbulence issues.

You do realize all piggy back tuning software does the same thing. Just does it electronically instead of mechanically.

Tricking the ecu is normal. Now doing it with a stupid spacer is not smart at all. LOL.

Funny how people who buy brand new cars tend to know nothing about how they work. Those of us that buy 13+ year old rigs know how they work, because we are getting our hands dirty fixing things!

Its only as safe if the tuner knows what he is doing. With a wbo2 that thing might actually be safe too.

Most likely it doesnt do much of anything, ecu fixes the AFR and its back to normal anyways. Usually this is the case as you see crap like this installed all the time and doesnt kill the motor. Just is a waste of money.

I don't doubt that in some cases you might actually gain MPG's. There was also a guy on Yotatech a few years back telling people to re-route the charcoal canister and get up to 27 MPG's on the 3.4:

The question is, are the MPG's you are gaining (if any) safe for the engine long-term? Probably not.

Alas, I am not. Putting it in would at least be a 10 hour job, I can't figure out which of the two screws goes in first. I decided that even though it would save me loads of money from gas (never mind that gas dropped from $4 to $2.50 here anyway) the time just isn't worth the investment. Until next time.

I put one in backwards to trick it in to running rich. Then I added one of those intake fan turbos and then the fun really started.

Only 2 small mods and my torque went from buckets to GOBS.
