Yet, another question, I still have stock everything suspension. Do I need to put better shocks and/or leveling kit for the 85 lbs worth of roof rack for this thing??

No, not at all. You will be fine with stock suspension.

What were some of the things that made it a tough install?
I installed it myself and found the hardest part was getting the rack out of the packaging.... Would've been easier with two as it needed to be lined up here and there with some pressure. But doable by yourself... Took 1hr 45min for everything including cleanup.. I think 30mins was just for dealing with unpacking and cutting the aftermath up for the recycle

Did you assemble off the vehicle then lifted it on or assemble it on the vehicle?
I installed the brackets in vehicle. Then pieced it together on the vehicle... You'll need a few people if you assemble it off vehicle as it's heavy

Please assemble piece by piece on the vehicle for better alignment. I was working on some instructions but my computer crashed... I just took my tent off and will take the rack off here soon to get step by step pics instead of drawing them.

Update:
5th batch to the west coast should be here this week and at that time will start shipping. Shipping from California usually takes 2 business days.
6th batch is out getting painted now and as soon as they are all complete they will ship out. Ecotechne is shooting for Monday.

loosely assembled the whole rack beforehand.
then underestimate how hard it was to try to place this on top of the car with just 2 guys lifting overhead.
very happy in the minimal amount of scratches i incurred. doubling up on painters tape would have saved me from the scratches.
That and i have NO sliders or steps on the 4runner at the moment.

I have mounted my Inno cargo box on top and it worked fine with the crossbars. I also added the edge trim (https://www.amazon.com/Edge-Trim-Bl...qid=1493739346&sr=8-1&keywords=edge+trim&th=1) to the very front fairing, and also the edges of the crossbars to save the powder coating. I'll try to remember to get some pics.

Hoping to find out as well - I have a CVT and should be getting my rack in a couple weeks. Based on my current setup, I'm hoping the brackets are long enough to fit the cross bars. And I hope the cross bars are strong enough to hold up the tent...
