Rack looks great. It will definitely be at the top of my list when I add in the next few months.

Really close to pulling the trigger on this.

Any snow state owners here? How are the trays with snow and ice? Does it trap ice between the rails and crossbars? Is it a pain to remove?

only negative i have right now, is how easy it seems for the powder coat to rub off? have a few chips and some rubbed off from installing.

snow will probably trap between the rails and crossbars. Not sure anyone has had this long enough to see how it does in snow though.

I didn't find it bad. You may get some trapped there, but not any worse than the stock rails and crossbars. The tray has the company's name cut out of it, so any water drains from the tray.

yeah the powder coating is weaksauce.. but the rack itself is pretty sturdy.. i just hit the spots where i chipped some with some rattlecan plastidip and it seems to have blended in well.

It looks better with the top xbars mounted under.. but you'll need to flip them if you want to carry anything wider than the rack otherwise the bolts will scratch up whatever you're carrying.

Bit of a rookie here but I'm assuming you can no longer was the roof? Also has anyone thought about putting 3m on roof for protection?

You can remove the crossbars and tray, then wash the roof. Or leave them on and wash around.

get a ladder or step stool, and you can easily pressure wash the top. I don't have any trays installed at the moment, so its easier for me to get a wash brush up there.


yes powdercoat is beyond weak sauce.. the steel they use.. is super easy to rust steel as well. i have rust in less then 48 hrs of install.

Light mount covers

I wanted to make some simple covers for the light mounts on my rack before i send it out for powder . Here are some pics of what i came up with.

love that it's full length with no drilling needed but how does the front of the rack sit on the roof? Is there a lot of rattle when driving or off-roading?

Thanks! Mods are all in my SIG. I do plan on adding a ladder, likely the ecotechne one to match.
