i saw in the group buy post it listed they are selling this for third gen also?? can anyone verify? i saw one person ask about 3rd gen but no one answered in this thread sorry if i missed it somewhere else....and if they do have for 3rd gen does anyone have pics?

Can anyone help assist with the hardware fastener sizing info? The installation guide provided details of the parts minus the sizing.

if you're ever going to pass thru an area that uses salt for winter time. I'd consider a different maker. Their metal and PC is shoddy to say the least. I wanted to support where my family comes from. but dang.

luckily I got the ladder before the rack. Going to order up a Prinsu that is mainly aluminum.

woops, the SSO is who I am going to!

The way mine rusted so quickly I couldnt fathom to have it recoated. Its paying twice for a job that should have been done once. Except the metal degraded so quickly I doubt I could have hidden where it rusted out.

Actually free?

This is the same issue with most of the hefty fabworks powdercoating from years back. The bare metal was probably never blasted or prepped. Worth it to have any metal ordered bare and taken to a line-x shop. It saves money in the long run.

You in NYC, I'm in Montreal would not mind to come meet you and pick it up ! My friend has a sand blasting garage after that I could line-X the $hit out of it !

You might have a hard time since the rack is made in Venezuela and all the craziness going on there right now. Also I have this rack and not super happy with it. It looks cool but it's not the most functional. Also it's poorly made and the powder coat sucks IMO. Mine already has a good amount of rust. If I were you I would look at Prinsu or SSO if you like the look of Ecotechne.

Hey everybody, I've had the Ecotechne on my 5th gen for two years. Have an upcoming trip and need a cargo carrier/box. I looked at the Yakima and Thule boxes at REI and their dainty clamps don't appear to fit the crossbars on the rack. Right now I just have a cheap soft cargo bag that I don't want to deal with. Thoughts or recommendations? Thanks.

P.S. Here's a partial view of the rack from when I drove up to see the eclipse two years ago. This is during the eclipse.
