My ECT Will knot work .


I have an 93 4 Runner
V6 Auto .

I have Checked the Fuses They Are Good .

Where Do I need to go to check ECT . ?


Problem # 2

I have an Clinton Repair Manual . It did knot show Me Any thing .

The Auto Transmission Will Knot Shift Down Or Up .

The ECT In the Transmission .

How Do you Check them . DO any body Know Where I Can Find Help On the Web?


Where Do the Elect Wires Run To From The Transmission ?

The trans is controlled by the ECM.
Can you shift it manually?

You need a Factory Service Manual, if you search you will find one online you can download.

Check your connections at the ECU, your issue could be as simple as a dirty or loose connection/wire.

I have checked for loose connection/wire..

What else can I check on to solve the Problem .

I wish I knew more about the ECT and auto trans, and at the same time I am glad that I don't. I prety much stick to the 5 speeds no matter what vehicle.
What I would recommend is what someone else already suggested: search online for a Factory Service Manual (FSM). Download it and read up on the auto transmission troubleshooting section and you should be well on your way.
