is my 1990 t4r ecu compatible with all 3vz engines or just my year?

Usually one replaces the ecu with one of that with the same serial number. The serial number will identify what accessories your vehicle came with. But equally important is that that you need one with or without a factory alarm system programmed into it. If you do not have a factory alarm system and you select an ecu that has this feature then the engine will not start since it is looking for these alarm sensor inputs.

A re-man ecu is more likely to be found..
