ECU Wire

Ok, I have been battling this Code 52 garbage for awhile and I believe I narrowed it down. I have:
-Relocated New Knock Sensor
-New Knock Sensor wire
-New ECU
-Corrected Timing problem
Still have code 52...
I am now suspecting that the shielded wire from KS harness-ECU has an issue. What is the best way to test the wire? Has anyone run new wire to ECU for the KS? What did you use? Any help is appreciated.

More engine and date info would be good to have. How did you reset the code after you did the work so far?

Sorry, it's a 1992 3vze auto. I did a new "harness" for it this evening. I had the new toyota pigtail and cut the connector to the KS off and soldered a coax center wire to it and grounded the shielding to the plenum and took the other side to the Black KNK sensor wire on the center ECU connector and also grounded that. No change!!!! CEL comes on within half a mile!!! I usually take the efi fuse out for a bit and clear it, this time the battery was off for about 1hr. I really don't know where to go from here, I tried everything!!

I'm not understanding why you "relocated" your knock sensor. They work just fine where the stock location is at, perhaps where you relocated it is an area the knock sensor picks up other vibrations or some sort of harmonics that sets it off?

I'd suggest putting it back to where it belongs on your engine. If it was set off in the stock location, and its set off in the new location, then its obvious that there's something else going on here. Rule out the obvious first, then go from there.

I relocated it as I just don't have the time to tear it down to get to the OG one and change it. I relocated it and it was fine for almost 100 miles, then all this started. I followed a few people that have had theirs relocated for 1,000s of miles with no CEL.
