EGR Bug Shield Installed.

So I bought this at speedyautoparts.com for $68 shipped. It is made in Australia, and the thing is nice! I have looked at a lot of them, and they all looked kind of flimsy. This is thick, plus with the way it mounts there will be NO vibration. In the pictures you can see how it attaches. The middle is pinched between the grille and the hood (need to loosen grille and put this on, then replace it as it is only 8 nuts). Then on the ends, they give you plugs that go into holes already in the hood, and when you install the screws the backs spread open and hold it in place (like a sheetrock wall anchor). It is also far away from the hood, so there wont be any rubbing on the paint! FYI---you can tell my Angel Eyes are on even in the daylight. Look at the picture below this one to see the difference.

Looks good Shaun. It is like a blend of the Canadian and OEM version. Mounts look pretty sturdy from your pics. Let us know how it works out for you in the long haul.

That is exactly why I got it. I like to be different. I saw it on a couple of websites, and thought it looked good. Plus, for $68 how could you go wrong. I have read a lot of reviews about EGR products, and not 1 has been anything other than positive.

My AVS sheild had some cheap plastic clips that it mounted with... i went back and used zip ties... much better!!!! nice ride btw

wwaaahhh..Angel Eyes.:awais: Can you give me more info on how you did this? I had a BMW 328 and Angel Eyes was all the craze. I would luv to have it retrofit to my ride now.

Angel Eyes are in the auxiliary fog/driving lights.

Border 411 - I know this is an old thread, but do you know which EGR this is? Is it the Superguard, the aerowrap, or aerowrap XE?

I have an EGR on my '01 and would like one for my '07.
