Electric Cooler Power

I have the Dometic CC32. It is hardwired to the car battery (DC power). I like to plug it into the generator when camping (AC power).
Can I have both AC and DC plugged in at the same time? If so, which current has priority and will it switch when one of the power supplies dwindles (low battery or generator quits)?

Don't know about the Dometic, but the ARB fridge I have can be plugged into both at once. It'll default to 120V if present and switch to 12V if not. It would make sense if the Dometic worked the same way.

Thanks. I am waiting to hear back from Dometic, but that makes sense.
