electric fans?

i've bene kicking around the idea of swapping out the factory clutch fan with an electric one...thoughts on this? does it or would it provide an benefits? anyways thoughts are always welcome!

are you talking about a electric fan clutch? or electric fans?
I put electric fans on my old s10 blazer and had allot more power and better gas mileage, however I had a problem of the truck getting hotter in traffic, the electric fans don't seem to work as well.
I was toying with the idea of electric fans on my 4-runner but since the stock cooling always works great I ditched the idea
as far as a electric fan clutch I heard they failed more than worked

thanks for the reply! ya i was thinking just straight electric fans with a sensor from the engine temp so that they would kick on when needed and kick off when not. thats kinda where i'm at with it too in that the factory system works really well but if i could swap it out and gain some fuel economy and maybe a little extra power then i would be very interested but was looking for some real world knowledge before i make any decisions

im sure this could easily be modded to fit, and generally you get 1 maybe 2 mpg with this "mod", but you do get a noticeable gain in some power. i to did this mod on my s-10. this is a nice kit because it comes with a new shroud which is a must if you removethe shroud and just put a fan on the radiator its not gonna cool like it should. The shroud help create a vaccum thats why it shaped that way.
