Electric Turbo's?

I was going to say, if it's electric it's not a turbo, it's a supercharger. But the article said that for me.

Maybe we should put a turbine driven generator in the exhaust and use that to power the electric supercharger. Then it'd be a turbo supercharger.

There is a company called Open Flash that is manufacturing these for MX5s and the BRZ/FRS. I think they're good for 50~hp for maybe 20-30seconds before they have to recharge.

Seems pointless to me at this stage in the game.

For road and track maybe. The guys who measure their lives a 1/4 mile at a time could use them though.

I stuck a 12V muffin fan in-between the air filter and throttle body to force more air in and got an extra 10 HP for $5.

That used to be a common joke amongst my colleagues, after that F&F movie came out. Unfortunately, it's only 1000 ft for me and my colleagues, these days.

RIP, Scott.
