electrical drama!!!!

My truck is a 94 sr5 recentley after it rained really hard one day. I noticed that when i hit my brakes the right side turn signal lights up in the dash and on the truck this happenes every time i it the brakes. when i turn on the right side turn signal it seems to operate normally until i hit the brakes then it just glowes solid with no blinking going on ,until i release the brakes then it blinks agian. when i hit the left turn signal ,it blinks but it seems to make the right blink too. just like if i turned the hazzards on but with the right side not as stong of a light as the left( only when left signal is on. anyone have this happen to them before

It sounds like a problem with your trailer plug wiring.

I will inspect and if needed disconnect the harness to see if its the problem ! i saw it was worn but there was no contact with metal i could see?

Could also be a bad diode somewhere in the wiring...

exterior trailer wiring looks ok not rubing or touching any metal the left turn signal is ok today ,but the right still stops blinking when brakes are aplied and stop lights flash along with right turn signal .im going to have to take the rear panels off tommorow and see if anything is melted behind them there was this slight smell of burning wires a few months ago ????????

I've been having the EXACT same problem! Well, almost exact...

I haven't noticed it it's brought on by rain or not... but sometimes my right side blinker will halfway light up on the dash when I push the brake. Right blinker works fine when the brake isnt pressed, but when it is, the blinker starts blinking real fast.

Comes and goes, usually lasts a few days then goes away for a week or two.

Fun stuff.

Ok so now my engine and tach surge when i turn on the right turn signal the left works normaly the right makes my car urge at 55 mph wtf is this ????
