electrical gremlin or normal?

For the past few days, I have noticed that my rear wiper will wipe one time immediately after starting my truck...but not all the time. This isn't normal is it? I've made sure that my wiper is in the off position on the control stalk, yet it still happens. Otherwise, the wiper works fine when I do turn it on. Does anyone know what could be causing that? Thanks!

Have you changed your battery? sounds like a resetting problem with the computer.

No, I haven't changed my battery recently but I've also started noticing my radio and the compass on my rear view mirror momentarily go off while driving. This is all really strange. I've checked my fuses and they are okay. I'm going to disconnect my battery and hope this will fix the electrical bugs.
