electrical issue, help

i noticed the at oil temp, brake and charge lights on the dash, i know there grounded together and this means its my alternator but it kills my battery too, i boosted it it took it down the road and the lights came back on and my battery was dead again any ideas could it be the VR in the alt or the brushes but why the dead battery

You mean the A/T oil temp?

If so, yes, all 3 means an alt problem, usually the brushes, but your problem may be different. You may have something draining the battery.
One way to check would be to connect an ammeter inline with the battery to measure the current drain with everything OFF. You need to do this with a good/charged battery to get any meaningful info.

i dont think there is anything draining my battery to be honest i think the coils went inside the battery or something cause the truck drove on nothing but the alternator for about 20 minutes, then i tired a different battery out of my honda and it worked great.....for about 5 minutes all the lihts came back on and this battery was cooked aswell
